You can imagine the stunned and surprised look on our faces when Rachel called in to drop off such a magnificent bouquet of flowers. Then add the extra shock when we opened the envelope. All HUGELY pleasant we must say, and “What we did doesn’t deserve such obvious generosity”.
We are both humbled and delighted that the Team West Mercia Groups have sought to say a thank you in true RDA style. We shall take great pleasure in using the Vouchers for a restful stay on Anglesey – a holiday venue that we truly love.
Please pass our most grateful thanks to everyone across the Region. Both Trevor and myself always felt welcome whenever we met such committed and devoted like-minded souls. And we continue to benefit from warm welcomes and friendly smiles whenever we meet anyone from the RDA gang. We look forward to saying a personal thank you at the Qualifiers next weekend.

Christmas 2021
Well what another mixed year we have had with start, stop, are we able to do this, can we continue, what are the Covid rules now? A huge congratulations to all groups that have kept the show on the road, whether you have been able to deliver RDA sessions or engaging and supporting participants or waiting for schools to resume outside activities. Let us all hope that 2022 will see all groups in full swing. In a strange year the Region has seen many venues opt out of supporting RDA or closing down for various reasons. Well done and a special mention to those determined Trustees that have been active in seeking new venues. Keep up the great work. As this is my final message as your Regional Chairman I can reflect on a very full, demanding and HUGELY rewarding 5 years. It has been a true privilege to be alongside each and every colleague in groups, counties and across the Regional Team. I have thoroughly enjoyed being your Chairman and I hand the baton to the capable hands of Ruth Godfrey. I wish her and all of you a very joyous Christmas time and a prosperous and fruitful New Year.
